A curiously solitary yet sociable creature, the lesser-spotted womanizer \u2013 known in some parts as the player \u2013 can often be seen prowling local hangouts most evenings and weekends.<\/p>\n

Adaptable and alluring, womanizers are well versed in\u00a0the art of seduction\u00a0and often employ a disarming mixture of charm, wit and sophistication.<\/p>\n

Although notoriously difficult to identify with just the naked eye, there are a few tell-tale signs that you are in the vicinity of a womanizer and should only proceed with caution.<\/p>\n

1. Does He Plan Ahead?<\/h2>\n

<\/b>How he wants and arranges to see you can give you a clue as to whether or not you\u2019ve got a player in your midst. For example, if his plans with you are often made at the last minute, perhaps it seems like he\u2019s just being spontaneous in trying to sweep you off your feet \u2013 which great, right? \u2013 but if he\u2019s reluctant to organize anything with you more in the long-term, this could be a warning sign that maybe you\u2019re not his first choice.<\/strong><\/p>\n

If you\u2019re concerned this might be the case, we recommend you tread carefully.<\/p>\n

2. The What, Where and When<\/h2>\n

<\/b>In combination with the how, where and when he suggests meeting up with you and what the two of you do when you\u2019re together is also worthy of closer inspection.<\/p>\n

If he always wants to come to your place late at night but he never seems to be available at the weekend, ask yourself if he\u2019s only with you for the sex<\/strong>, a move straight out of the Player\u2019s Guide.<\/p>\n

Alternatively, if he does take you out, does he like to mix up the time and destination, or does he keep them consistent? If he\u2019s spontaneous in some ways but sticks to the tried and tested in others, that could just be the way he is but if you start to get suspicious, you\u2019ve got to look out for number one.<\/p>\n

3. The Silver Tongue<\/h2>\n

<\/b>The number one golden rule for any player is to never leave a trail of destruction in your wake, as his reputation is key.<\/p>\n

If he knows exactly the right thing to say at exactly the right time, maybe he\u2019s had a little too much practice with the sweet-talking<\/strong> and you might want to keep an eye on it.<\/p>\n

This requires tact because, believe it or not, there are some genuinely awesome guys out there who love to treat their woman like the princess she is. The last thing you want to do is scare away a Mr. Perfect with your paranoia.<\/p>\n

4. Media Socialite<\/h2>\n

<\/b>Again this is a tough one as, depending on the stage you are at in your relationship, you don\u2019t want to come across as a stalker before things have even got serious between the two of you.<\/p>\n

You shouldn\u2019t let what he got up to before he met you influence the here and now too much, but if you make friends across social media, his profile pages, friends, photos, comments and likes are a good insight into the kind of person he is.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Not all men are the same \u2013 even those who womanize \u2013 and as such they should be handled on a case-by-case basis. But should you find yourself one day confronted by a womanizer don\u2019t stand still, resist the urge to punch it on the nose and don\u2019t try and make yourself look bigger than you actually are as these things probably won\u2019t work.<\/p>\n
