Surprising Uses &#038; Condom Innovation"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">TL\/DR; There&#8217;s more than one way to get freaky with a condom if you&#8217;re up for skipping social norms<\/span><\/i><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">We just published <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.lelo.com\/blog\/why-gen-z-is-over-hookup-culture\/\"><i>an article on why Gen Z is having less sex and fewer hook-ups<\/i><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> than previous generations, and now here we are, telling the same folks that condoms are still necessary and relevant.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The fact that there are still <a href=\"https:\/\/www.lelo.com\/hex-original\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">new kinds of condom<\/a> entering the market are an indicator that condom use isn&#8217;t going away, in part because younger generations are coming up with new and creative ways to use them. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Let&#8217;s take a closer look.<\/span><\/p>\n<h2>Despite Having Fewer Hook-Ups, Gen Z Apparently Loves Sex Parties<\/h2>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Some interesting news stories have been making the rounds lately, largely in stark contrast to <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.lelo.com\/blog\/why-gen-z-is-over-hookup-culture\/\"><i>what we just investigated<\/i><\/a> <span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">about the sex lives of Gen Z.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">To sum things up:<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">62% said that neither they nor their friends have regular casual sex<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Only 23% have had a hook-up<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Similarly, the Center for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) showed:<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Only 30% of teens had had sex<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">3 in 10 Gen Z men reported having zero sex throughout the entire year (2021)<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">For women, the figure was 1 in 4.\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">However, this apparently <strong>hasn&#8217;t stopped Gen Z from signing up for sex party-based clubs<\/strong>, like the bisexual women&#8217;s play group Killing Kittens or the New York-based, multi-gender play club NSFW.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">According to some participants, there&#8217;s more socializing at some of these events than sex. Kinda boring and one-dimensional, right?<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The thing is, you don&#8217;t <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">have <\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">to use condoms in this one, singular fashion.
